Gustavo Milaré is an attorney, mediator, negotiator, facilitator, arbitrator, consultant, speaker, Civil Procedure Law and ADR professor, and the author of two books and several legal articles.
Gustavo obtained his Law, Master and Doctorate degrees from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He also has the following degrees: (i) a Diploma in Mediation by Mediaras Mediaciones Privadas and by Algi Mediação; (ii) Diploma in Negotiation by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV); (iii) Certificate in Complex Conflict Mediation and Negotiation by the PON – Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and by Pepperdine Caruso Law; (iv) Diploma and Certificate in Dispute Board by the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), including for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Gustavo is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a certified mediator by the International Mediation Institute (IMI), by the Institute for the Certification and Training of Lusophone Mediators (ICFML), and by the ODR Foundations Training. Gustavo is also registered as a judicial mediator of the State Court of Appeals of São Paulo (TJSP).
His mediation practice has been recognized by the publication Leaders League (Ranking 2024).
Since 2010, he has dedicated himself to mediation, and has already worked hundreds of hours in the most diverse and complex cases, including pro bono. Gustavo is committed to giving back to the community and, thus, to contributing to the development of society. He also teaches classes and offers training in companies, graduation and post-graduation courses.
For over 20 years, Gustavo has helped a range of clients – from individuals and small companies to major multinationals – to resolve their commercial and corporate disputes and to optimize their business through the sole or joint implementation of the fastest, most efficient, and adequate measures to their needs.
